I bought Koala on my iOS device, do I need to buy it again for my other devices?

Short answer: No — you only need to buy Koala once per Apple ID.

If you purchased Koala Sampler on the App Store using a particular Apple ID, that purchase is tied to that account and will transfer to any iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac with Apple Silicon) where you’re signed into the same Apple ID.

If your other device is asking you to purchase Koala again, it usually means the App Store is using a different Apple ID or hasn’t synced your purchase info yet.

Common Reasons This Happens & How to Fix It

1. You’re Signed Into a Different Apple ID

Your devices might be using different Apple IDs.

How to fix:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Check your Apple ID — make sure it’s the same account you used to buy Koala
  4. Open the App Store and check Koala’s page — it should now show the download icon, not the price

2. App Store Needs Refreshing

Sometimes the App Store doesn’t sync purchase info immediately.

How to fix:

  1. Open the App Store
  2. Tap your profile icon (top-right)
  3. Pull down to refresh your account
  4. Check Koala’s page again

3. Koala Was Bought on a Different Apple ID

It’s easy to mix up personal, work, or old accounts.

How to fix: Try to recall which Apple ID was active on your device when you originally purchased Koala. You can check your purchase history at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Using Family Sharing

If someone in your family purchased Koala, you can access it through Family Sharing.

How to fix: Make sure Family Sharing is turned on and the person who purchased Koala has enabled purchase sharing.

PLEASE NOTE: Apple does not support sharing in-app purchases through Family Sharing, so Samurai, the mixer, sample packs, etc. cannot be shared — this is Apple’s policy, not ours.
