The gate effect in koala isn’t actually an audio effect, it’s more of a midi effect – it shortens notes in your sequence – It doesn’t function as a noise gate – midi gates are much more fun. Its possible that it won’t have an effect on your loops if you’re not using them in a sequence, and if you do have them in a sequence, it’s going to act quite strangely (shortening the loop length).
