What is “BOUNCE”?

Bounce is an option in the TOOLS menu in koala – It converts the currently selected pad into a version of itself that bakes in the attack, release tone, pitch, volume, pan, timestretch controls. It doesn’t bake the effects in.

e.g. if you have a sound selected that you’ve changed the pitch of, and added a slow attack or whatever, if you apply BOUNCE you get a new sample where the pitch and attack have gone back to zero but the sound sounds pitched up and with a slow attack, actually in the sample.

This is useful if you want to pitch up a sound more than the pitch knob goes – e.g. you pitch the sound up to max, then BOUNCE, then you can pitch it up again.
